In addition to our weekly meal distribution, Feeding the Spirit provides assistance to individuals confronting homelessness or housing instability. Our services encompass rent aid, emergency shelter arrangements, support with vital documentation like photo IDs and birth certificates, provision of essential items such as pet food, toiletries, and diapers, distribution of emergency food supplies, and assistance with transportation emergencies via gas cards, bus passes, and auto repairs. We are committed to addressing all crisis situations to safeguard the welfare and stability of those we serve.
Closing the Gap of Homelessness and food insecurities
Feeding the Spirit, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding those in need, has made a profound impact on the community through its comprehensive services. Over the years, we have tirelessly worked to support thousands of families and individuals, serving a total of 11,078 meals, with an impressive 78,496 meals provided since our inception. Our commitment extends beyond providing nourishment; we have facilitated homeless placement for 730 individuals, ensuring they had a safe place to stay for 865 nights. Additionally, we have offered vital rent assistance to 393 families, helping them maintain stable housing and security. At Feeding the Spirit, our mission is not just to feed the hungry but to uplift lives and build a stronger, more resilient community.

We offer a range of services to address various needs in our community. These include transportation assistance through gas cards, medical support with co-pays covered, provision of food and hygiene items, aid in obtaining essential documents like photo IDs and birth certificates, and assistance with transportation via bus tickets. We also provide auto repair support, cover delivery fees, address veterinary needs, assist with property taxes, evaluation fees for CRN services, phone cards for communication, and occasional travel expenses. Additionally, we offer day care support and assistance with storage unit fees. Through these services, we aim to empower individuals and families, promoting stability and resilience.

Each week, we partner with a local restaurant to provide hot meals in individually packaged servings to those in need in our community. The cost for this weekly meal service is $600, with options for full or partial sponsorships available. Volunteer
